The Paramus Ambulance Corps, Inc. is a group of approximately
70 dedicated volunteers who serve the community 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year. Each member must be a New Jersey
Certified EMT-D (Emergency Medical Technician-Defibrillator)
which requires hours of training on an on-going basis.
Other certifications required are in CPR, hazardous materials
awareness, incident command and blood borne pathogens.
For emergencies call 911. For non-emergencies call 201-265-2100,
Ext. 448. The corps offers canes, crutches, walker,
wheelchair, etc. for residents; transportation from
a hospital stay to a private residence only is also
available but must be a prearranged in advanced.
